Ice Age art : arrival of the modern mind

Ghislaine Howard’s pregnant Self Portrait is a part of this major new exhibition at The British Museum which opens on the 7th February and runs until May 26th.

Described by The British Museum as an exhibition 40,000 years in the making, it will present masterpieces from the last Ice Age, created between 40,000 and 10,000 years ago. Ghislaine’s drawing will be shown in the company of modern works by Henry Moore, Mondrian and Matisse, illustrating the fundamental human desire to make art as a way of understanding ourselves and our place in the world.
