The Ghislaine Howard Studio Gallery in Oak Street, Glossop, shows a changing programme of paintings, drawings and prints by Ghislaine Howard as well as works by selected artists including Eileen Cooper RA, Michael and Cordelia Howard, Tracy Cupitt, Harry Ousey and Ian Mood.

The Ghislaine Howard Studio Gallery – Derbyshire Open Art Exhibition 2011
This is now a well-established county-wide event. Ghislaine’s studio and the gallery will be open though the weekend from 11.00am – 5.00pm showing works by Ghislaine, Michael and Cordelia Howard and by Ian Mood and Tracy Cupitt. We will all be around to talk about our work and there will be an opportunity to see work in progress for Ghislaine’s major new series for York Minster. As ever, coffee, tea and delicious home made cakes will be served.
Michael Howard and Tracy Cupitt will be showing their very different approaches to still life painting – Tracey’s vibrant and richly detailed watercolours are influenced by her time in Japan whilst Michael’s painterly canvases pay hommage to the artists he loves- Matisse, Cézanne and Braque.
Ian Mood’s dramatic and evocative landscapes of the local area will be shown in conversation with landscapes and seascapes by Ghislaine.
Also on view are a number of intimate monoprints by Cordelia Howard and a small group of works by Glossop born Royal Academician Eileen Cooper RA, watercolours by Harry Ousey and a selection of original nineteenth century Japanese woodblock prints.
