This group of works celebrates and records aspects of the more intimate moments of human life. In recording these ordinary, casual episodes of the everyday, a gesture or movement may suggest something that can be used as the basis for a more public work. One never knows when a twist of the head or a movement of a hand may suggest a sequence of ideas that can be used elsewhere.<\/p>\n

Without being in any way programmatic, these works are traces, clearly marking the passing of my own existence. In the same kind of way as the snap shots in a family album record and celebrate any life. In some indefinable way, I feel they are necessary counterparts to the rather grander, more ambitious works that I feel drawn to create.<\/p>\n
