I have also been able to share an ambitious project that I&#8217;m working on at the moment &#8211; to produce a credible painting to mark the 200th anniversary of the Peterloo Massacre, so I&#8217;ve been looking even harder than usual at Goya and Delacroix and others who have been so important to me and of course, my experience in painting the &#8216;365 Series&#8217; helps too, but whether or not I can succeed in doing so is reflected in the title I&#8217;ve given it: &#8216;Towards an Impossible Painting&#8217;.<br \/>\nStudy after Poussin&#8217;s &#8216;Massacre of the Innocents&#8217;, c. 1628-9, painted at the height of the Thirty Years&#8217; War.
