Ghislaine Howard Studio Gallery – Winter Exhibition

Saint Sebastian • Ghislaine Howard

The Ghislaine Howard Studio Gallery shows a changing programme of paintings, drawings and prints by Ghislaine, Michael and Cordelia Howard and a number of invited artists.

This year as part of our annual Winter Exhibition we are pleased to be showing work from Ghislaine’s recent Irish exhibition The Circus Animals’ Desertion and other new work inspired by her trip to Venice this summer.

Michael Howard and Tracy Cupitt will be showing their very different approaches to still life painting – Tracey’s vibrant and richly detailed watercolours are influenced by her time in Japan whilst Michael’s painterly canvases pay hommage to the artists he loves- Matisse, Cézanne and Braque.

Ian Mood’s dramatic and evocative landscapes of the local area will be shown in conversation with landscapes and seascapes by Ghislaine.

Also on view are a number of intimate monoprints by Cordelia Howard and a small group of works by Glossop born Royal Academician Eileen Cooper RA, watercolours by Harry Ousey and a selection of original nineteenth century Japanese woodblock prints.

The gallery will be open at the following times, please contact us if you wish to arrange private viewings:

4th – 5th December 11.00 am – 4.00 pm

11th – 12th December 11.00 am – 4.00 pm
