Weekend Courses:

From Table to Easel
1 – 3 April

Beginning with an introductory talk on the Friday evening we shall eat and create together through the weekend inspired by the twin pleasures of making art and eating good food. Meals will be inspired by work (and favourite recipes) of such artists as Monet, Cézanne and Toulouse Lautrec.

A Weekend with Rembrandt and Vincent
15 – 17 April

Celebrate the lives and working methods of these two intensely human artists. The weekend will give an opportunity to develop our creativity and ways of communicating feeling and expression through drawing and painting. Van Gogh worshipped Rembrandt saying that he would happily live for ten years on bread and water if he could do so in front of Rembrandt’s magnificent, Jewish Bride.

A Date with Degas
14 – 16 October

Be inspired by the life, work and methods of Degas, the most innovative and radical of the Impressionists. Discover the secrets of his painting and printing techniques and experiment with his unique way of modelling in wax.
